Introduction and Rationale
This Master’s programme is in compliance with Zambia’s current national strategic focus on the gradual development of higher education. Drawing on Zambia’s Education for All 2015 National Review, and complying with Unicaf University’s principles, the M.Sc. in Managerial Psychology will contribute in broadening access and participation to high quality relevant education, with the efficiency and effectiveness of modern education delivery systems. Managerial Psychology holds a pivotal role in the responsiveness on various imperatives of the time affecting general welfare of humanity with varying shades of complexities.
The M.Sc. in Managerial Psychology aims to equip students with an ability to deploy skills and understanding in a range of seminal and contemporary issues surrounding psychological principles and research applied to business environments, through techniques of critical analysis, reflection and evaluation, complying with the pronounced long term educational goals of Zambia, which focus on the development of individual learners in holistic manner that address their cognitive developmental needs, affective and psychomotor skills.
Moreover, equally important, are clarity of thought, knowledge of the possibility and limits of application of psychology in working environments, the capacity to explore issues, and present positions, in a structured and methodical way as well as the capacity to recognize and accommodate insights from a variety of sources. In other words, the meaningful acquisition of relevant skills and knowledge to enable students to meet challenges and lead individual fruitful lives, while empowering them to contribute to the sustainable development of their immediate environment.
Since the education sector has  vastly been embracing the potentials of online learning in the area of education, the M.Sc. in Managerial Psychology is offering improved content delivery. During this course, students will be able to apply Psychological principles to the working environment and thus develop vital skills and knowledge in order to become successful in the field of Managerial Psychology.

The BA English Language and Literature is an innovative threefold degree programme which is comprised of English language teaching methodology, English literature and linguistics modules. The courses of the linguistics component aim to provide students with a thorough grounding of the principles underpinning the study of language and the diversity of linguistic study. The teaching modules

The sector of Public Health has undergone a significant transformation over the last five decades. The 1990s, particularly, was a decade of great change and also a period during which the importance of Public Health got the special attention of many stakeholders worldwide.

The programme will enable students to develop communication skills and learn about the art and science of medicine in its wider social and ethical context.  They will learn the importance of health and wellness through disease treatment, prevention, and research. The Government of Malawi has adopted a strategy for development and growth spanning 2017-2022. This is the Malawi Growth & Development Strategy III (MGDS III). This blueprint recognizes that failure of the country to move to a developmental state has slowed down national socio-economic development, making Malawi a consuming and importing state with very little being invested into industry, technology and private sector activities to promote manufacturing and export growth. This MBA: Oil, Gas and Energy Management programme is designed to encourage national efforts towards improvement of the energy sector, and hence towards greater industrialization within Malawi.
The following press release from The Nation newspaper from October 2018 summarizes a major problem faced by the government of Malawi in its quest for development of the oil and gas sector. It is clear that a lack of trained manpower in the sector is crippling efforts to kick-start the industry.
Despite government promising to support the growth of the mining sector to become one of the main foreign exchange earners, the department tasked to look after the oil and gas sector seems to have no capacity and resources to perform, according to a recent report…
The report says technical officers at the Department of Mines do not have continuous trainings to ensure independent and competent analysis when conducting field verification visits where oil and gas companies are operating…
The report has recommended a review of the oil and gas division to allow all technical officers to access relevant training and capacity building programmes (Chirambo, 2018).
The last paragraph quoted was the recommendation made in the authoritative Malawi Extractive Industry Transparency Initiative (MWEITI) report. The report reinforces the observations of Unicaf University that prompted and justified the development of this MBA: Oil, Gas and Energy Management programme.

The Unicaf University Malawi PhD in Information Technology is an integrated programme awarded on the basis of a research dissertation (240 credits) and also incorporates a preparatory taught element (120 credits) that provides students with the necessary tools to undertake their research, appreciate current research issues in the field of Information Technology, and assume future leadership roles in their respective institutions. It is the field of focus of the dissertation (67% of total credits), rather than that of the taught modules (33% of total credits) which imparts the name “Information Technology” to the qualification.

Course Summary

Law is taught from a range of perspectives, based on the finest traditions of legal education and recent innovations for the 21st century. Our approach is to examine law well beyond basic legal rules and legal institutions, taking account of wider contexts and discourses that allow deeper understanding of law in society. With this approach, the University of Suffolk provides students with a firm grounding in the subject of law and the contexts in which law functions. Equally important is the breadth and depth of education that this subject facilitates.
