Introduction and Rationale
This Master’s programme is in compliance with Zambia’s current national strategic focus on the gradual development of higher education. Drawing on Zambia’s Education for All 2015 National Review, and complying with Unicaf University’s principles, the M.Sc. in Managerial Psychology will contribute in broadening access and participation to high quality relevant education, with the efficiency and effectiveness of modern education delivery systems. Managerial Psychology holds a pivotal role in the responsiveness on various imperatives of the time affecting general welfare of humanity with varying shades of complexities.
The M.Sc. in Managerial Psychology aims to equip students with an ability to deploy skills and understanding in a range of seminal and contemporary issues surrounding psychological principles and research applied to business environments, through techniques of critical analysis, reflection and evaluation, complying with the pronounced long term educational goals of Zambia, which focus on the development of individual learners in holistic manner that address their cognitive developmental needs, affective and psychomotor skills.
Moreover, equally important, are clarity of thought, knowledge of the possibility and limits of application of psychology in working environments, the capacity to explore issues, and present positions, in a structured and methodical way as well as the capacity to recognize and accommodate insights from a variety of sources. In other words, the meaningful acquisition of relevant skills and knowledge to enable students to meet challenges and lead individual fruitful lives, while empowering them to contribute to the sustainable development of their immediate environment.
Since the education sector has  vastly been embracing the potentials of online learning in the area of education, the M.Sc. in Managerial Psychology is offering improved content delivery. Students must defend their dissertation in a "viva voce" (oral) examination which can be completed online. The BA English Language and Literature is an innovative threefold degree programme which is comprised of English language teaching methodology, English literature and linguistics modules. The sector of Public Health has undergone a significant transformation over the last five decades. The 1990s, particularly, was a decade of great change and also a period during which the importance of Public Health got the special attention of many stakeholders worldwide.

Nature of the programme

The programme is an online programme composed of 8 taught modules of 25 credits each, of which five are core modules and three are elective modules relating to a specialist stream, culminating in a research based dissertation of 40 credits.  The modules may be taken continuously on a full-time basis or spread over a longer period on a part-time basis, depending on the circumstances and needs of the student. Each taught module lasts for seven weeks and the material is available online 24 hours per day, seven days per week during that period. The MSc Public Health is a challenging and rewarding programme designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to public health for students who intend to pursue careers in public  health practice, management and/or research at local, national and/or supranational levels.

The core focus of the programme is on improving the health and wellbeing of populations, preventing health problems before they occur and reducing inequalities in health. Course Summary

Law is taught from a range of perspectives, based on the finest traditions of legal education and recent innovations for the 21st century. Our approach is to examine law well beyond basic legal rules and legal institutions, taking account of wider contexts and discourses that allow deeper understanding of law in society. With this approach, the University of Suffolk provides students with a firm grounding in the subject of law and the contexts in which law functions. Equally important is the breadth and depth of education that this subject facilitates. Students will be equipped to take on challenging questions about law and related issues, and to apply their knowledge and skills in a variety of contexts. This ethos runs right through all subjects in the law curriculum, which includes a number of modules specifically designed to provide opportunities to apply your knowledge and skills in different contexts.

This course places emphasis on the use of law to solve problems. With this in mind, teaching and learning on this course is designed to encourage the development of strong legal and problem-solving skills. In addition to engaging in legal reasoning, students also learn how to analyse the impact of law in society. Though law is often studied as a distinct subject, its methods and analytical approaches draw on fields within the humanities and the social sciences. Students will have the opportunity to develop skills in the use of a wide range of legal research methods and approaches, with increasing emphasis on independent work as you progress through your course. The course also emphasises the importance of developing a range of legal and academic skills to enable students to learn, research and analyse the law as independent learners to prepare them for further study or a variety of legal careers. Course Summary

The BA (Hons) Business Management programme covers a broad range of management topics and is designed to give students an overview of how businesses work, and how managers can affect and improve business performance. The modules on the programme will ensure that students develop a good understanding of basic principles, important elements of management, leadership and strategy and develop skills that will support students’ employment or further study after they graduate. 
 
The programme has been designed to support students’ future career ambitions – each module will require students to learn and apply ideas and to develop skills that will be useful to students in their future work.
